Set of three high-precision optical mirrors for Ruby Laser (694 nm) cavities:

  • HR: R > 99.8% @ 694 nm
  • OC1: R ~ 88% (Free-running)
  • OC2: R ~ 80% (Q-switched)

Technical Recommendations:
While performance depends on your specific pumping system (flashlamp energy, cavity geometry, and rod dimensions), these optics offer versatility for different operating modes:
• For Free Running / Long Pulse Mode: We recommend using OC1 (R = 88%). The higher reflectivity provides a lower lasing threshold and stable operation for standard pulsed applications.
• For Q-Switched Mode: We recommend using OC2 (R = 80%). The lower reflectivity is optimized for high-gain extraction and helps manage intra-cavity power density, reducing the risk of optical damage during giant pulse generation.
